I've just purchased a new pc. I needed more processing power and unlimited, exclusive access to it, primarily to use it for music.  I  was sharing my pc with my family and I couldn't leave things set up for recording and I was undergoing lot's of crashing of the multi-tracking program - the processor was just way to underpowered to handle the job.

Now, I know what you're thinking.  Why wouldn't I get a Mac for this kind of work?  In a word, money.  I could get more 'bang for my buck' with a pc...
